Terms of Service

Effective June 2, 2026. Please read these terms before using RoomPear.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RoomPear mobile application and related services (the "Services") operated by RoomPear.

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.

You may not use the Services if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously suspended your account.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity on your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile and preferences up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users.
Post false, misleading, or illegal content.
Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to access the Services in unauthorized ways.
Use the Services for spam, fraud, or commercial solicitation unrelated to finding a roommate.
Upload content you do not have the right to share.

5. Matching and listings

RoomPear helps users discover potential roommates. We do not guarantee compatibility, housing outcomes, or the accuracy of user-provided information.

Any lease, sublease, or housing arrangement is solely between you and other parties. We are not a landlord, broker, or party to those agreements.

6. Subscriptions

Paid features (such as RoomPear+) are billed through Apple or Google. Refunds and cancellations follow the platform’s policies.

Pricing and features may change with notice where required.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect users or the Services.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
